AnAqSim (Analytic Aquifer Simulator) is groundwater flow modeling software based on an analytic element approach that divides the modeled region into subdomains (Fitts, 2010, ''Water Resources Research''). It uses finite difference time steps to offer complete transient capabilities.  AnAqSim handles multi-layer (3D) flow and also does fresh/salt water interface flow.  AnAqSim is much more powerful and versatile than earlier analytic element programs like TWODAN (previous Fitts Geosolutions software).

Short Course: Using Analytic Solutions and the Analytic Element Method for Solving Groundwater Problems, November 2-5, 2016, Nelson, Wisconsin

The short course will be focused on the use of elementary analytic solutions and models created with the Analytic Element Method for solving groundwater flow problems. The approach to solving groundwater problems, regardless of their complexity, is greatly enhanced in terms of both insight and efficiency by carrying out preliminary computations. Such computations may consist of relatively simple solutions amenable to implementation, either in inter-active computer programs such as MATLAB®, or in dedicated analytic element computer programs such as SLAEM or MLAEM.
