Visual Bluebird v2.0 is a graphical user interface for single-layer analytic element modeling of two-dimensional steady-state groundwater flow and vertically-averaged contaminant transport modeling. Visual Bluebird is designed for simplicity of use, but includes many robust tools and methods for development of regional scale groundwater flow and transport models or local scale models nested in larger hydrogeologic domains.

Visual Bluebird contains a multitude of features that simplify the model development process:

  • Automatic model quality checking
  • Extensive Help file
  • Interfaces with Surfer® 7.0 and above
  • Up to 30 Base maps in .bna or .shp format
  • Uses USGS DEMs in *.dem or .grd format for preprocessing rivers
  • ArcView® and ArcGIS® output options
  • Unit Conversion Utilities
  • Stepwise modeling manager
  • Extensive editing and zooming tools
  • A convenient and powerful object manager
