2010 Oscar Night - The Biggest Event of the Year
Since 1972, it is a tradition in Hollywood to have an annual ceremony to recognize the excellence of professionals in the movie industry. Year after year, the Oscars bring to the limelight the most notable performances and the blockbuster hits of the year. With the elegance, luxury, and star-studded night, there's no doubt it is the most prestigious award ceremonies in the world.
Again, on March 9, 2010 the 82nd Annual Oscar nights will be held at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, and will be televised live by the ABC Television Network. This annual ceremony has been the much-awaited event of not just the nominees or the people in the film industry, but also everybody who continue to support their favorite stars of the century.

Talking about the atmosphere, 2009 Oscar's was a blast like any other year, especially to Director Danny Boyle whose film Slumdog Millionaire won eight awards including the best director of the year. Slumdog Millionaire was a huge hit achieving a whopping $377,417,293 worth of tickets sales. No doubt, it became the best picture last year.
The question now is what movie will be the next best picture, and who will get the most awards for this year's Oscar awards. It won't be a surprise if "Avatar" wins the best picture with its success in the silverscreen even exceeding the movie of all time "Titanic", with a difference of $621,035,780. The whopping ticket sale of Avatar is not really surprising as James Cameron is known in the movie industry for his ambitious films.
10 Hollywood films are nominated for best picture this year, a bold move from the Academy in the hope of keeping viewers glued to their televisions. Hosting duties are entrusted to Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, another improvement in the show and a second shot at duo hosting since 1987.
